Cross-Posting!

I've written a small photo-essay on one of Colonial Victoria's warships, the jaunty little gunboat HMVS "Albert" here:

Take a look!

UPDATE: I've added a small WIP shot of one of Victoria's torpedo boats, the HMVS Nepean, here:

Cheers!

Greg,

So are you going to model her? (Or should a ship with a male name be referred to as "him"?)

Hi Jeff,

Yep! I'm working forst on the HMVS Lonsdale, one of Victoria's "Second Class" torpedo boats, which I think ought to be a simpler project for me to cut my teeth on.

I'm actually doing that tonight.

I've cut the hull form two laminations of balsa, glued them together and then skimmed the edges over with filler.

When it's all dry tomorrow, I'll try sanding it down and then begin work on the suerstructure. The hull loks reasonably symmetrical at the moment, but we'll see tomorrow. I'll try some pictures tomorrw morning.

Regards,

Greg
